Avanza Consejo de Política Social en el departamento

La secretaria de Desarrollo Social del Valle del Cauca, Luz Elena Azcarate Sinisterra, hizo un llamado para que desde las administraciones municipales se impulse y se constituyan los consejos de política social, como instrumentos de concertación para trabar por el bienestar de la comunidad.

El Consejo de Política Social del Valle del Cauca, es una instancia de concertación, participación, coordinación y asesoría que posibilita la identificación de procesos dirigidos tanto al diseño como al desarrollo integral y coherente de la política social del departamento.

“Por ello es que en el ámbito municipal es fundamental que estos espacios cumplan su razón de ser, que estos espacios sean de concertación, de toma de decisión de políticas integrales, articuladas a las necesidades propias de cada municipio”, añadió la funcionaria.

En este sentido, desde la Secretaría de Desarrollo Social, se están integrando acciones y esfuerzos intersectoriales e interinstitucionales para optimizar la intervención social. La Procuraduría y el Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar, Icbf, participan activamente en la formulación de planes y proyectos en la región vallecaucana.

En el Departamento se está trabajando en la constitución de actividades en temas relacionados con el Consejo Departamental del Adulto Mayor, la Caracterización de la Población en situación de discapacidad, consejos municipales de juventud, seguridad alimentaria y fortalecimiento nutricional.

“Frente al tema de Seguridad Alimentaria y fortalecimiento nutricional hemos venido trabajando con diversos actores como la CVC, el Ministerio de Agricultura, la Secretaría de Salud Departamental, con el fin de consolidar e implementar el Plan Nacional de Seguridad Alimentaria”, concluyó Azcarate Sinisterra.

Definir los lineamientos y prioridades en materia de política social de los 42 municipios del departamento, articulado a los planes de desarrollo municipales, aprobar los planes de acción de las distintas entidades que conforman el Consejo de Política Social, a través de los cuales se de cumplimiento a la política social y garantizar la articulación de las decisiones tomadas en materia de actuación administrativa con la asignación de recursos financieros, son algunas de las acciones que frente al tema está liderando el Gobierno Departamental.
